Our Story

I started kiln because I wanted to still smell like me. 

After my kids were born, the perfumes I'd previously worn felt wrong. Too much for the two little people who were always by my side, on my hip, or snuggled into my neck. I didn't want to stop wearing fragrance, I just wanted something that stayed closer to me and wasn't overpowering.

I couldn't find it, so I made it.

kiln is perfume oil - not spray. There's no alcohol, no cloud. It goes on your skin and stays close. It develops with your warmth, which means it smells a little different on everyone. You can apply a little, or a lot - depending how strong you want it. 

Our scents are blended with fragrance and, where it suits the composition, essential oils — in a base of certified organic jojoba oil.. Once it's on your skin, it becomes yours.

I make kiln fragrances by hand in Auckland, in small batches. I hope you love wearing it as much as I love making it.
